The nominees for the Teen Choice Awards for 2007 include a number of nods for science fiction and fantasy. Singled out for teen adulation are along with stars Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden Panettiere, Masi Oka, and Zachary Quinto; and star Matt Dallas; ’s Allison Mack and Michael Rosenbaum (so, teens don’t like Tom Welling anymore?); and ’s Jared Padelecki.

The movie side of the ballot also has a lot of props for sci-fi and fantasy. Considering she was cast in for her looks rather than her talent or suitability for the role, it’s fitting that Jessica Alba is up for general hotness (sorry, Chris Evans – maybe you’ll need to go shirtless next time). It’s funny that Kirsten Dunst and Toby Maguire are up for “Choice Liplock” in – the interesting liplock in this movie was the one with Bryce Dallas Howard. Maybe voters are still wowed by the one in the first movie.

The Teen Choice Awards will be broadcast live on Fox on Sunday, August 26 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
